Gulf Coast Region Special Election


It is with regret that I am forced to announce the resignation of Scott Hunter as Director, Gulf Coast Region. Scott has served the members of the Gulf Coast Region and the NBRSA for over 15 years and we are all sorry to see him going. I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say,  Thank You Scott for your exemplary service!

While Scott is giving up his Directorship I’m sure that he is not giving up benchrest. So, next time you see Scott at the range be sure to thank him for the fine job he has done for all of us in the  Gulf Coast Region and for the NBRSA.

Now we have to find a replacement for Scott.

An Election must be held, and we are looking for Candidates that want the job of Director, Gulf Coast Region.

To qualify as a candidate for Director you must meet the following requirements;

1) Be at least 18 years of age.
2) You must have been a member of the association for at least the previous 3 years.
3) You must be a resident of the region.

If you are qualified, to be considered for the directorship you must:

1) Be nominated by any past director of the Gulf Coast Region that still resides in the region.

2) An affiliated club can nominate a person.

3) A person can be put on the ballot by having at least 10 members from the region sign a petition and submit that petition along with his name for the position,

All nominations need to be received at the NBRSA Business Office by March 1, 2018.  Submissions can be made via mail or email.

Ballots will be mailed by March 16, 2018 and must be received back at the Business Office by April 10, 2018 to be counted.  Ballots will be tabulated by the Business Manager and notification will be made to the candidate by April 15, 2018.  The results will be published in the first available magazine issue and will be posted online for members.
