NBRSA Clubs: Please Forward 2008-2009 Match Write-ups to Cross Printing As Soon As Possible

Attention:  ALL NBRSA-AFFILIATED CLUBS

If your Club still has some Match Write-ups from 2008 or the from the first part of this year (2009) that have not yet been sent to Cross Printing for publication in our magazine, please get them sent in as soon as possible.

It seems that for some reason, the match write-ups are not being sent in as promptly as they were in the past.  This has put a "real strain" on our editor and her staff.  They are under contract to NBRSA to print a specified minimum number of pages each month and they cannot print what they do not have.  They must receive your material in order for the members of our organization to have something to read in our magazine.

The reason the February 2009 issue of "NBRSA News" was mailed out so late was due to the fact that there was not sufficient material to print.  I had to "beat the bushes" just to get some extra 'Notices', 'Announcements', 'Match Write-ups', etc. to put into the February issue as "filler".  I heard from Cross Printing a few days ago and they are saying that things are still going really slow for the upcoming March issue.  If you have an announcement regarding something of interest happening in your Region or at your Club, please forward that information on to Cross Printing.  It will be used as "filler", if it is needed.

We love to get pictures with your Match Write-ups and it seems that those that are sent in email attachments are the best...they come out sharper when printed in the magazine.  Match Write-ups are published on a "first come; first serve" policy...so get yours in to Frieda Cross, NBRSA Editor, as quickly as possible.

Also, articles are really in demand by our members.  If you have an idea for an article, please forward your written material to the NBRSA Headquarters (Pat Ferrell, NBRSA Business Manager) and we'll see if we can't get your name in print.
