NBRSA Needs Your Help...NOW !!!
Attention: All NBRSA Members
I wanted to explain why your February 2009 issue of "NBRSA News" was mailed out so late. The reason is simple, the Match Write-ups from our Clubs are not being sent in as promptly as they have been in the past. The NBRSA Editor and her staff cannot print what they do not have. They are under contract with NBRSA to print a minimum number of pages each month.
I was contacted by Cross Printing about mid-month in February and, as of that date, they had not received enough material to go to print for the February issue. I had to "beat the bushes" to get enough material and other miscellaneous "filler" so that the February 2009 issue could go to print.
Cross Printing contacted me earlier this week and told me that material for the March 2009 issue is once again coming in really slow. For the second time, I've had to "beat the bushes" and have finally come up with some historical "filler" that can be used if necessary.
If your Club has not yet gotten their Match Write-ups sent in for the last part of 2008 or for the first part of 2009, please encourage them to do so as soon as possible...or better still, volunteer to help them with the write-up. We love to get pictures to include with the Write-Ups and it seems that the pictures that are sent in email attachments come through a lot sharper when they are printed in the magazine.
If you have anything of interest to share with the NBRSA Membership, please consider writing an article. Just send your written material to me (Pat Ferrell, NBRSA Business Manager) and we'll see if we can't get your name in print.
